[DB Seminar] Fall 2016: First Meeting + PKU/CMU Interns

This is the first meeting of the Database Group for Fall 2016. We will do the usual meet & greet, followed by two talks from PKU/CMU summer interns.

Bio:
Bohan Zhang is a third year Computer Science undergraduate at Peking University (PKU). He is currently a summer intern at CMU. Previously he has worked at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Edinburgh. At PKU, he works in the Database and Information Management Group with Prof. Bin Cui.

Yuemei Zhang is a third-year undergraduate student from school of EECS, Peking University. As a summer intern student at Carnegie Mellon University, she is currently working on the type system of Peloton, with Prof. Andy Pavlo. Her research interests include database and data mining. In Peking University, she works as a research intern in Database and Information Management Group, with Prof. Bin Cui.
