[Fall 2017] Peloton Hack-a-thon
Date
Time
Location
The CMU Database Group is holding an all day programming session for the Peloton database system project. The goal of this event is to provide an introduction to the system and teach students how to get started with the project. The day will begin with an overview of the system and build/test it. We will then teach everyone how to write a new built-in SQL function (e.g., string functions). Attendees will divide up into small groups and work together to implement their assigned function. This is open to the public and is not limited to current CMU students.
This is a good opportunity for those that are looking to take the Advanced Database Systems course in spring 2018 (CMU 15-721). Students looking to get started early with preparing their local development environment can follow the New Student Guide
Lunch will be served. We will also have a small party at the end of the day to celebrate.
