You wouldn’t run your application on the cloud because it is the cool thing to do. You’d run it there because it makes sense to do so. In this talk you’ll hear why some of our customers have moved to the cloud while others have not. You’ll also learn how we overhauled Vertica’s architecture to become one of the few analytics databases to take advantage of cloud economics. Things like separation of storage and compute, elasticity, fast node replacement, and more. These aren’t necessarily cloud-only features. We’ll talk about Vertica’s unique positioning as the only hybrid cloud solution, a position that we’re continuously improving by converging our on-premise and cloud architectures.
