The Carnegie Mellon University Database Research Endowed Fellowship offers dedicated funding to support graduate students enrolled in the School of Computer Science and pursuing research in the beautiful field of databases. Established in 2024, this fellowship ensures that emerging scholars can focus on advancing the state of the art in database systems. With access to world-class faculty and cutting-edge resources, CMU-DB fellows are encouraged to “bring the ruckus” as they develop groundbreaking ideas and shape the future of database research.
The Database Research Endowed Fellowship is awarded to students admitted to any graduate program within the CMU School of Computer Science. You do not need to apply separately.
Funding for the Fellowship is made possible through generous donations from alumni and friends of the CMU-DB group.
