Title:

Does Systems Engineering Matter Anymore?

System:

Sentry

---

Talk Info:

Let’s dive into what software engineering looks like at a modern infrastructure company today, what challenges we have as engineers in this new era of software, and why systems engineering still matters. This will be a casual conversation around how Sentry - a pre-GPT company - looks at building their own engineering tools to leverage AI for code generation. We’ll talk through some of the open source tools we’ve invested into that have helped us bring more automation around all aspects of the pipeline, including a custom multiplayer harness we build for ourselves.

This talk is part of the Whatever Andy Found Interesting While Out At Sea.
